Overcomers
The Overcomers is a group of seniors at Christiansburg Baptist Church who are young at heart and eager to grow in their faith and community. This vibrant group meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month, providing a wonderful opportunity for fellowship, learning, and support.
What We Do
Bible Study
Our gatherings begin with a Bible study, where we dive into God’s Word together. This time of study and discussion is a chance to deepen our understanding of the Scriptures and apply them to our daily lives.
Fellowship and Meals
Following the Bible study, we enjoy a meal together. This is a great time to connect with others, share stories, and build lasting friendships. Our meals are always full of laughter and love, making everyone feel right at home!
Special Guests and Topics
We regularly host local community leaders and experts who provide valuable information and insights relevant to seniors. Past topics have included how to protect yourself from scammers, ensuring your home is safe as a caregiver, and ways to support gospel work around the globe. These sessions are informative and empowering, helping us stay engaged in our community.
